During my junior year at Oral Robert’s University, I had to step down as a worship leader and have surgery to remove nodules on my vocal cords. The surgery went well under the care of prominent ears, nose, and throat doctor. However, I would struggle for the next thirty years with constant fluid build-up in my throat and a feeling like I might choke at any moment. At night I would wake up gasping for air and rarely able to get adequate sleep.
I went to all types of doctors, hospital visits, and even a speech therapist and nothing worked. “Elevate your bed, take this over-the-counter allergy medication, this is all in your head,” they would say. I tried all of their suggestions and nothing worked. I was so uncomfortable fighting the feeling of choking that I had a cough drop in my mouth at all times to help with difficulty swallowing. As a speaker and minister, I would go all day without eating on ministry days to try and keep my throat as dry as possible and drainage-free. Still, I would experience serious anxiety knowing I had to deal with this while speaking.

My mother had been a patient of Dr. Colbert’s for a few years and suggested I go see him. I finally took her suggestion and went. I had actually made the appointment as a good overall checkup not thinking much about my throat. I had given up any hope of any resolution to my throat issues a long time ago. I had prayed about this for decades, requested prayer from others and nothing had seemed to change.
During my first visit to Dr. Colbert, about halfway through my appointment and without me mentioning my throat, he noticed that I had trouble taking deep breaths and getting enough air. As he continued testing on me I then remembered to tell him about my throat. Within ten minutes Dr. Colbert discovered that I had an esophageal hernia and this was greatly impeding my ability to receive adequate air. He performed a brief adjustment that wasn’t painful on my chest and abdomen area and I was immediately able to breathe in and out like I had not been able to most of my adult life. At first, I didn’t quite believe it. It was too good to be true!

My coughing and the constant clearing of my throat was such a part of who I was that when it ceased to happen most of my family and friends noticed the difference before I could tell what had happened. It was the miracle I had prayed about for over thirty years and now has completely changed my life!

I thank God daily for leading me to Dr. Colbert and for using him to bring my healing to reality. God still does miracles and he used people just like you and me.

The Dr. Is a world renowned M.D. and he specializes in Hormone Therapy, Stem Cells, and so many other things. He does his treatments according to what your body is asking for, and tries natural supplements instead of all the drugs the pharmaceutical companies want you to take. Nice staff. Dr. Colbert is down to earth, and is on the cutting edge of treatments.
